Rich Results Test

Quick Definition

Google's Rich Results Test is the official tool for validating whether a page's structured data is eligible to display as a rich result in Google Search.

In context

Rich Results Test renders the page (executes JavaScript), parses the structured data, and reports eligibility per supported rich-result type (Article, Product, FAQPage, HowTo, etc.) plus any errors or warnings. Use it: validate every new page's schema before publishing, debug pages that should but don't show rich results, confirm structured data renders correctly after JavaScript execution. Search Console's Enhancements reports also surface schema issues at scale.

Example

A Toronto agency uses Rich Results Test as part of every content launch QA — catching schema issues in staging before they ship to production.
