Schema Validator
A schema validator parses structured data (JSON-LD, Microdata, RDFa) on a page and reports whether it's syntactically valid and semantically conformant to schema.org definitions.
In context
Two main validators: Schema Markup Validator (validator.schema.org) checks against schema.org definitions broadly; Google's Rich Results Test checks against Google's narrower set of supported rich-result types. Both are essential — schema can be schema.org-valid but not Google-rich-results eligible. Validate every new schema implementation in both before shipping. CI integration: scripted validators (e.g., Schemantra, custom JSON-LD parsers) can run validators on every build to catch regressions.
Toronto SEO runs a custom JSON-LD validator script in CI that parses every prerendered page's schema and fails the build on schema.org violations — catching mistakes before deploy.
