CSR (Client-Side Rendering)

Quick Definition

CSR ships an empty HTML shell and uses JavaScript in the browser to build the page. It's common in single-page apps.

In context

CSR is risky for SEO because Google must render JavaScript to see content. Use CSR only for authenticated app interfaces (dashboards) where SEO doesn't matter. Public marketing pages should use SSR or SSG instead.
