Indexing
Quick Definition
Indexing is the process of Google adding a page to its searchable database. A page must be indexed before it can appear in search results.
In context
Indexing happens after crawling. Google decides whether to index based on content quality, duplicate detection, canonical signals, and quality thresholds. Pages can be crawled but not indexed if Google decides they don't add value. Search Console shows indexing status under Pages.
