The Toronto citation stack you actually need
Top tier (must-have for every GTA business): Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Maps, Facebook, Yelp, Yellow Pages Canada, 411.ca, BBB, and your industry-specific directory (e.g., RateMDs for clinics, Lawyer.com for law firms).
Second tier (high-value local sites): BlogTO, Toronto.com, Now Toronto, Daily Hive Toronto, Toronto Board of Trade if you're a member, and your neighbourhood BIA directory.
Niche directories: industry associations, professional bodies, and chamber of commerce listings carry the most weight per citation.
Why NAP consistency is non-negotiable
Your business name, address, and phone (NAP) must be byte-identical across every listing — including the punctuation. 'Suite 200' vs 'Ste. 200' vs '#200' technically count as different addresses to Google's local algorithm.
Run a citation audit (Whitespark, BrightLocal, or Moz Local) to find inconsistencies, then clean them up over 4–8 weeks. This single project can move a stuck Map Pack ranking by several positions.
